Morton County Sheriff's Office

Morton County Sheriff's Office is accepting applications for the position of dispatcher. This is a night shift position. Applicant must be willing to work nights, weekends and holidays. Must be able to multitask and handle themselves well under stress. Must have a valid drivers license, high school diploma or equivalent, be able to pass a drug test and be 18 years of age or older. The Morton County Road Department is looking for Versatile Workers. Duties may include manual labor and the safe operation of trucks or heavy equipment. A Commercial Driver's License is required. Morton County Civic Center

Seeking a part time position within Morton County for a General Facility Assistant. Employee will be responsible for general functioning and organization of office/facility duties within this department. Hours may vary according to events, must be willing to work some nights, weekends, and holidays. Accepting applications through July 8th to the Clerks office.

Register of Deeds

The Register of Deeds office has an opening for a Part Time Clerk position. The average hours worked per week will be twenty (20) hours, not to exceed 1,000 hours per year.  The scheduled hours worked will be determined by the needs of the office and the part time employee must be flexible to work around these needs. Morton County Counselor

Morton County Commissioners are seeking applications and bids for a County Counselor. Applicants must be attorneys who have graduated from an accredited U.S. law school and be licensed to practice law in the State of Kansas. Successful applicants will be required to provide services consistent with K.S.A. 19-247. All bids should be sent to the Morton County Clerk, Attn: Gina Shores, at P.O. Box 1116, Elkhart, Kansas 67950.  The deadline is Friday, December 9, 2022. Be advised the Commissioners reserve the right to refuse any and all bids.
